Harmony, Leadership, and Family: The Rhythmic Energy Experience
"The phrase "Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness" from the United States Declaration of Independence best describes my association with Rhythmic Energy Band. Being a Trumpet Player in RE and assisting with organizing practice sessions and concerts has become integral part of my life and my identity. It has taught me lessons for life and in leadership. . . . With my wife too joining several gigs as a trained vocalist and a daughter who is learning to play Piano and Violin, being part of RE is the kind of motivation and platform we need in our Music journey as a family. . . . While we have given several music programs over the last decade that helped us derive joy and share it too, the Aarohan Tour to Gangtok and Darjeeling in May 2017 stands out as the most transformative experience. It was the farthest we had traveled as a Band, the longest we had stayed together as an extended family, and the first twin-city tour with a bit of sightseeing in between the concert dates. . . . The unprecedented use of technology ensured we made progress every weekend for two months we prepared for the tour. Google Drive for Notes, Google Forms for Decisions, Google Spreadsheet for Travel Plans, WhatsApp group for Brainstorming and coordinating, Free Conference Call for Daily Huddles to sing through the sheet music - all contributed towards our evolution as a Virtual Band with members across several cities. . . . The time spent in practice, rehearsal, sightseeing, experiencing the beauty and serenity of Gangtok, Tsongmo Lake, Darjeeling, the delicious food and hospitality of the smiling people of the Hills made it a memorable Tour. . . . The energy and excitement we felt during the performance and the joy on the faces in the audience is something I will cherish for a long time. With new talent joining our ever growing Band every year, I look forward to recreating and reliving more such magical moments of Music!"
